Ayra Starr reveals she recently underwent major surgery and asks fans for patience as she recovers ahead of the release of her new project, Starrgirl.
Ayra Starr has shared a personal health update with fans after revealing that she recently underwent major surgery. The Grammy-nominated Afrobeats star broke the news on her Instagram Story. She also apologised for her recent absence on social media. Although she expected to recover quickly, things did not go as planned. Still, the singer assured fans that she is getting better and will return soon.
“Hey Mobstarrs, I’m sorry you’re not seeing as much of me as I would like. I had major surgery a few days ago. I was hoping it would be a quick recovery but it was more complicated than they expected,” she wrote.
However, Ayra Starr did not reveal the reason for the surgery. Instead, she simply asked fans to be patient while she takes time to heal.
“I just need a bit of rest and I’ll be back!!!” she added.
Despite the health scare, the singer remains focused on her music. She urged her loyal fans to support her upcoming project, Starrgirl.
“Starrgirl is coming so soooon. I need everyone out there spreading the word. Tell your friends, your family, your neighbours! Order Starrgirl ASAP!!! Love you guys,” she said.
In another update, Ayra Starr also announced that she had signed copies of her first vinyl and CD inserts. She encouraged fans to pre-order them through her official online store.
Meanwhile, the update comes at an exciting time for the 24-year-old star. Fans recently got their first look at her acting debut in the Hollywood fantasy movie Children of Blood and Bone. The film features big names like Viola Davis, Idris Elba, Cynthia Erivo, Richard Mofe-Damijo and Damson Idris.
