Nigerian-British businessman and social media influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo reportedly underwent five enlargement procedures before his death in Thailand. Thai health authorities revealed the details during their investigation into a Bangkok clinic. The clinic treated Ubiribo before his death.
Thailand’s Department of Health Service Support said Ubiribo visited the clinic five times for the procedures. His final treatment reportedly involved a hyaluronic acid injection. Authorities now want to know whether the clinic followed the proper medical procedures during his treatment.
Ubiribo later died from a pulmonary embolism, reportedly linked to the injection. A pulmonary embolism occurs when a blood clot blocks blood flow to the lungs. His death has therefore raised concerns about the risks linked to cosmetic enhancement procedures.
Thai authorities have now stepped up their investigation into the clinic. They will examine Ubiribo’s treatments and the medical care he received. The case has also attracted public attention because of the number of procedures he underwent before his death.
