Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, says security and anti-graft agencies cleared him of wrongdoing.
He made the claim at the 2026 Gbaja Mega Empowerment in Lagos on Saturday. Gbajabiamila spoke about the allegations that recently put his office under scrutiny. He also thanked people who supported him during the period.
The former Speaker of the House of Representatives said the experience tested him in unexpected ways. According to him, several stories questioned his integrity during the period. He also alleged that some people spread false claims against him.
“Stories were written, strange accusations were made, lies were told, and my integrity was questioned,” he said.
However, Gbajabiamila said investigations by key government agencies found no wrongdoing. He specifically mentioned the Nigerian Police, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC).
“At the end of all the investigations, the Nigerian Police, the DSS, the ICPC cleared me of any wrongdoing,” he said.
He added that the investigative reports are available to the public. Meanwhile, the Chief of Staff said the experience taught him more about public service. He noted that people in public office often face intense scrutiny. Gbajabiamila also linked the experience to the challenges that come with seeking higher political positions.
His comments come as public attention remains focused on accountability and transparency among senior government officials.
