US Vice-President JD Vance has announced the birth of his fourth child with wife Usha Vance.
JD Vance revealed that he and his wife, Usha Vance, welcomed a baby boy named Alec Neel Vance on Sunday morning. The vice-president said both mother and baby are healthy, while their three older children are excited to meet their new brother.
Vance thanked the medical staff at Walter Reed Medical Center for their care, adding that the family is doing well. The couple are already parents to Ewan, Vivek and Mirabel.
Historic Birth During Vice-Presidency
According to reports, Alec Neel Vance is the first child born to a sitting US vice-president while in office in more than 150 years. JD and Usha Vance met while studying at Yale Law School and married in 2014.
The arrival of JD Vance’s baby boy marks a personal milestone for the vice-president as he continues serving in the Trump administration.
