Lawmakers, Officials Donate Millions After Woman Gives Birth to Twins at Kebbi Event

Unexpected Delivery at Public Gathering

A wave of donations followed an unexpected childbirth at a public event in Kebbi State.

A woman delivered twin boys during a large women’s gathering held at Haliru Audu Stadium. She attended the event in search of support when she suddenly went into labour.

The crowd witnessed the delivery as she gave birth to the twins on the spot. Organisers later moved her and the newborns to a hospital for medical care.

Lawmaker Donates ₦5 Million

In response, a member of the House of Representatives, Bello Dallatun Ka’oje, donated ₦5 million to support the mother.

He said the funds would help cover healthcare costs and the upcoming naming ceremony. He also acted on behalf of the state government during the intervention.

More Donations Announced at Event

Additional contributions came from key stakeholders at the gathering.

Faruk Enabo, Chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, donated one million wrappers. He said the items would support women’s groups during Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

He also announced a ₦30 million donation to women’s associations. He made the donation alongside his associates.

In addition, he presented a vehicle to the leadership of the organisation.

Praise for Women’s Role in Society

During his remarks, Enabo praised women for their contributions to society. He highlighted their roles in politics, business, and community development.

He also pledged continued support for women’s welfare. He said these efforts align with the vision of Nasir Idris.

Over ₦200 Million Raised

Overall, organisers raised more than ₦200 million at the event. The funds will support women’s groups across the state.

The donations reflect growing efforts by political leaders and stakeholders to empower women and strengthen community support systems.
