Charles Okocha Fires Back at Portable’s Bite claim says he “would rather chew grass”

Charles Okocha has finally responded to Portable’s claim that he bit him during their recent celebrity boxing match. The Nollywood actor did not hold back. Instead, he mocked the singer and dismissed the allegation completely.

The drama started after their rematch at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos. Charles Okocha was declared the winner after Portable broke the boxing rules. The singer reportedly abandoned the fight after taking heavy punches. Later, Portable accused the actor of biting his back and locking his neck. He also claimed he should not have accepted the fight because he is a star.

However, Charles has now addressed the accusation during an interview on TVC Entertainment. According to him, biting Portable was impossible because he wore a mouth guard throughout the match. He also accused the singer of spreading lies. In his words,

“Portable has been going around telling people I bit him on the back. I was wearing a mouth guard; how is that even possible? He was just lying. I would rather chew grass than bite him. I don’t want to catch rabies. Have you seen how Portable’s skin looks? Hell no, I wouldn’t do that. He should just accept defeat.”

His response has since sparked fresh reactions on social media.

Interestingly, this is not the first boxing showdown between the two entertainers. In 2023, Portable defeated Charles Okocha in their first celebrity boxing match and lifted the championship belt.

More recently, Portable also lost another celebrity fight to skit maker Carter Efe. After that defeat, he claimed there was foul play and demanded N200 million as compensation. He later admitted the loss in a leaked audio and asked for another celebrity boxing match.

Despite the setbacks, Portable says people keep paying to watch him lose, even when they do not attend his concerts.
