The Nigerian envoy advocated practical partnerships between TVET institutions in China and Africa. He proposed the establishment of joint TVET institutions and the development of curricula by both sides.

He also called for instructor exchange programmes and structured apprenticeships. According to him, these initiatives would give young Africans better access to technical skills and practical training.

Dambazau said China’s technological and industrial expertise could complement Africa’s youthful population. He noted that the partnership could support skills development and encourage greater technology transfer.

The ambassador added that stronger China-Africa cooperation in technical education could also contribute to industrialisation and shared prosperity.

He stressed the need for both sides to develop training programmes that respond to the changing needs of industries and the wider economy.

The call comes amid growing efforts to strengthen technical and vocational education as a tool for employment creation, innovation and industrial development across Africa.
