Erling Haaland continued his prolific scoring form with two goals as Norway defeated Denmark 3-2 in their opening UEFA Nations League match in Oslo.
Norway made a fast start at the Ullevaal Stadium, taking the lead through Oscar Bobb in the 14th minute. Bobb received a pass from captain Martin Ødegaard before cutting inside and curling his effort into the far corner. Four minutes later, Haaland doubled the advantage. Antonio Nusa created the opening by driving into the penalty area before finding the striker, who finished first time to make it 2-0.
Denmark responded through Mikkel Damsgaard, who reduced the deficit in the 25th minute with a superb free-kick from outside the penalty area. The visitors then completed the comeback 15 minutes after half-time when Rasmus Højlund headed home to make it 2-2.
Norway regained the lead in the 74th minute. A corner routine eventually found Haaland inside the penalty area, and the forward fired into the net for his second goal of the night. Denmark pushed for another equaliser, but Norway held on to claim victory. The hosts were reduced to 10 men in stoppage time when substitute David Møller Wolfe received a second yellow card.
The result puts Norway at the top of League A, Group 4 after the opening round of matches, while Portugal also began their campaign with a 1-0 victory over Wales.
