Pastor Enoch Adeboye and his wife, Pastor Folu, are celebrating 59 years of marriage today, September 8. The Redeemed Christian Church of God General Overseer shared a heartfelt anniversary message online. He thanked God for sustaining their marriage through the years. The couple also reflected on their journey together.
Looking back, Adeboye described their marriage as a journey filled with different seasons. He mentioned “seasons of joy, challenges, growth, answered prayers and countless reasons to give God thanks.” For the couple, each season brought valuable lessons. Their nearly six decades together have also strengthened their faith and commitment.
Adeboye explained that marriage requires more than beautiful moments. He said couples must choose each other every day. They must also allow room for growth and show patience. Furthermore, he highlighted forgiveness, prayer and trust in God as important parts of marriage. According to him, God has remained at the centre of their home.
“Above all, we are grateful that God has been at the centre of our home,” Adeboye wrote.
He also thanked everyone who has supported their family over the years. The couple expressed gratitude for their journey so far. They also looked forward to what God has planned for them.
