Patience Ozokwo has opened up about why she enjoys playing wicked characters in movies. The veteran Nollywood actress, popularly known as Mama G, said her roles help expose problems many people prefer to ignore. In a recent Instagram post, the screen icon explained that she sees herself as a mirror of society.
According to her, many of the negative behaviours shown in films happen in real life. As a result, she uses her characters to bring those issues to light. She also made it clear that she is very different from the villains she portrays on screen.
“I feel bold to expose the ills in society,” she said. “Those things happen and nobody wants to expose them. I am exposing them.”
She added that she is proud of her work and appreciates the love she receives from her fans. For many viewers, her performances have become unforgettable parts of Nollywood history.
