Actress Rita Edochie has responded to critics accusing her of using May Edochie’s marital crisis for social media growth.
The actress made her position clear in a recent Instagram post. She also praised May for the impact she has had on her online presence.
Rita admitted that May’s support gave her page an extra push. However, she rejected claims that May was responsible for her entire growth.
“YES, QUEEN MAY’S GRACE GAVE ME AN EXTRA PUSH,” she wrote.
She also said she had built her audience long before the current family drama.
According to Rita, May has been “the foundation of this journey.” She said she has no problem admitting that she benefited from May’s popularity.
“I WILL PROUDLY TELL YOU I TAPPED FROM HER BEAUTIFUL GRACE,” Rita stated.
She added that she sees nothing wrong with embracing something good and beautiful.
The actress, however, took a swipe at critics who credited her growth to another woman. She described the person as a “mere marital content creator.” Rita also insisted that her years of work should not be ignored.
“I KNOW WHAT I HAVE BUILT, I KNOW WHERE I STARTED,” she said.
