US President Donald Trump has confirmed that he plans to attend the NBA Finals in New York, where the New York Knicks are facing the San Antonio Spurs.
Speaking to reporters, Trump said he accepted an invitation from Knicks owner James Dolan and expressed his support for the team. He praised the Knicks’ playoff run and also acknowledged Spurs star Victor Wembanyama, describing him as a great player.
Trump indicated he could attend Game 3 and may also appear at Game 4 in New York. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver welcomed the possibility, saying he was pleased to see enthusiasm surrounding the Knicks’ Finals appearance.
