Trump says He read suspect manifesto after Washington shooting incident

President Donald Trump says he reviewed the alleged attacker’s manifesto after the Washington Hilton shooting.

Donald Trump has spoken publicly about the shooting incident at the Washington Hilton, saying he read what he described as the suspect’s manifesto.

In an interview with CBS News, Trump said he was not worried when gunshots were heard, adding that the world has become dangerous and unpredictable.

He said he was unsure whether he was the attacker’s intended target but believed it was possible. Trump also claimed the suspect had become radicalised and that family members had previously raised concerns.

The president recalled noticing something was wrong by the reaction of First Lady Melania Trump before security officers moved him from the stage.

Trump added that once taken to a secure room, he asked whether the event could continue and said he was willing to return.

Authorities are still investigating the motive behind the shooting and reviewing evidence tied to the suspect.
