Tyla is taking her music around the world, and Nigerian fans have every reason to celebrate. The Grammy-winning South African star has officially announced her ‘A*POP’ World Tour,’ with Lagos making the list of exciting destinations.
She shared the tour dates on Instagram shortly after releasing her sophomore album, APOP*. Since then, fans across the world have flooded social media with excitement. The global tour begins on October 12 and will cover Europe, North America, Nigeria, and South Africa.
The ‘Water’ Crooner’s Coming to Lagos
The European leg starts in Paris before moving through Amsterdam, London, Glasgow, Manchester, Brussels, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Berlin, Stockholm, Oslo, and Copenhagen.
After Europe, Tyla heads to North America. She will perform in Sacramento, San Francisco, Vancouver, Seattle, Denver, Chicago, Boston, Toronto, New York, Washington, Tampa, Atlanta, Irving, Houston, Austin, Phoenix, San Diego, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.
Nigerian fans will finally see her perform in Lagos on December 22. The tour ends with homecoming shows in Cape Town on January 4 and Johannesburg on January 9.
A Peek At Tyla’s Wins So Far
Tyla, born Tyla Laura Seethal, became a global sensation with her 2023 hit song, “Water.” The song dominated streaming platforms and sparked a viral TikTok dance challenge. It also introduced her unique blend of pop, R&B, and amapiano to a worldwide audience.
She built on that success with her debut album, Tyla, which featured fan favourites like “Truth or Dare,” “Jump,” and “Art.” Her music continues to showcase her South African roots while appealing to listeners across different cultures.
Her success has also earned major industry recognition. In 2024, Tyla made history by winning the Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance with “Water.” Two years later, she claimed the same award again at the 2026 Grammy Awards. She beat strong contenders, including Burna Boy, Wizkid and Ayra Starr, Davido and Omah Lay, and Eddy Kenzo alongside Mehran Matin.
