Nigerian music star Zlatan Ibile and his longtime partner, Davita Lamai, have officially announced their wedding celebration. The exciting moment happened during a private jet trip to businessman Soso Soberekon’s wedding. Several celebrities, including Teni and Toke Makinwa, were also on board. Their announcement has now ended months of rumours about their relationship.
The fun moment started when Teni introduced Davita as Zlatan’s “wonderful wife.” She then revealed that the couple would soon have their wedding celebration. Zlatan and Davita stood up together and smiled as everyone cheered. Davita also invited those on the flight to celebrate with them. She said,
“I just want to extend an invite to everyone. I’d love to have you all there. It will be so nice to have everyone there.”
However, the couple refused to reveal the wedding date.
The announcement comes months after Zlatan denied reports that he and Davita were already married. Back in January, the singer explained that Davita was the mother of his children, not his wife.
Later, fresh rumours surfaced after the couple wore matching rings and Davita added Zlatan’s surname, Omoniyi, to her Instagram profile. Reports eventually claimed they secretly held a private civil wedding in December 2025. The ceremony reportedly involved only close family members and friends before photos later leaked online.
Now, the couple appear ready to celebrate their love publicly. Zlatan and Davita share two sons and have often warmed fans’ hearts with sweet family moments. Many fans still remember when Zlatan gifted Davita a Mercedes-Benz for her birthday and proudly celebrated her university graduation. Although their legal marriage was kept private, their latest announcement confirms that a bigger wedding celebration is on the way.
