Iran’s top diplomat holds high-level talks with Vladimir Putin as regional tensions rise.
Abbas Araghchi held a meeting Vladimir Putin on Monday during his visit to St. Petersburg, according to the Kremlin.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said the significance of the meeting is difficult to overstate given the current developments surrounding Iran and the wider Middle East.

The talks were scheduled to take place at the Presidential Library in St. Petersburg.
