Churchill Denies Divorce Rumours With Rosy Meurer, Says No Legal Marriage Existed

Churchill Dismisses Divorce Claims

Businessman Olakunle Churchill has denied reports claiming that his relationship with actress Rosy Meurer ended in divorce.

In a statement shared on Instagram on Wednesday, Churchill described the reports as false and misleading.

“The reports circulating online about a supposed divorce between myself and Roseline Meurer are completely false. There is no truth to them, and they should be treated as such,” he said.

‘We Never Had a Legal Marriage’

Churchill explained that he and Meurer never had a legally recognised marriage.

He said the couple only held an introduction ceremony and never conducted a church or court wedding.

“There was no legally recognized marriage. There was no church wedding and no court wedding. What took place was an introduction. Therefore, the idea of a ‘divorce’ is baseless from the outset,” he stated.

Churchill Questions Alleged Divorce Documents

Churchill also questioned documents circulating online about the alleged separation.

According to him, nobody officially served him any legal notice regarding divorce proceedings.

“Any legitimate legal process requires that all parties be formally served and given the opportunity to respond,” he said.

“I was never served. So I ask a simple question: what exactly is being presented to the public, and how was it obtained?”

Businessman Criticises Advice Given to Rosy

Churchill claimed that some individuals were giving Meurer poor legal and media advice.

“I am 100% sure that individuals without proper experience in the media space are advising Rosy incorrectly,” he wrote.

He also criticised some legal practitioners over what he described as improper legal procedures.

Churchill Speaks on Tonto Dikeh

Churchill addressed claims linking the controversy to his recent reconciliation with ex-wife Tonto Dikeh.

He said the issues between himself and Dikeh remained personal.

“Tonto wronged me, and whatever existed between us was ours to resolve. No one confronted her or fought that battle on my behalf,” he stated.

He added that co-parenting responsibilities should not create problems in another relationship.

Churchill Responds to Claims About Rosy Meurer

Churchill rejected claims that Meurer made extraordinary sacrifices by standing beside him during his public fallout with Dikeh.

“I do not agree with the narrative that Rosy ‘stood by me’ in a way that should now be exaggerated,” he said.

He acknowledged that Meurer faced criticism but argued that another person could have filled the same role in his life.

Churchill also said relationship matters should remain private between partners.

“Issues within my relationship should have been left for me to address, including defending her publicly when necessary,” he added.

Message on Relationships and Co-Parenting

Churchill stated that dating someone with a child and unresolved co-parenting issues requires maturity and understanding.

“Entering a relationship with a man who already has a child and existing issues with the child’s mother requires understanding,” he explained.

He also revealed that he and Dikeh have moved on from their past disagreements.

“If Tonto offended anyone, it should be me alone, and if I offended anyone, it should be Tonto. However, we have both chosen to forgive each other,” he said.

Rosy Meurer Yet to Respond

The statement followed widespread online speculation that Rosy Meurer had allegedly started divorce proceedings after recent social media tension involving the couple.

As of the time of filing this report, Meurer had not released any public response to Churchill’s statement.
