PSG beat Arsenal on penalties to retain UEFA Champions League title

Paris Saint-Germain edged Arsenal in a dramatic penalty shootout to win back-to-back UEFA Champions League titles.

Arsenal made a dream start in the final as Kai Havertz fired them ahead inside six minutes at the Puskás Arena in Budapest. However, PSG fought back in the second half after Ousmane Dembélé converted a penalty won by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

The match finished 1-1 after extra time, forcing a penalty shootout. Arsenal missed two crucial spot-kicks, while PSG held their nerve to claim a 4-3 victory on penalties.

The result secures consecutive Champions League titles for PSG under coach Luis Enrique and ends Arsenal’s hopes of winning a first-ever European Cup despite recently lifting the Premier League title.

PSG become the first club since Real Madrid to successfully defend the Champions League title.
