President Tinubu says efforts are ongoing to secure the release of abducted students and teachers in Oyo and Borno states.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed optimism about the safe return of schoolchildren and teachers abducted in separate incidents in Oyo and Borno states.
The President said security agencies are intensifying rescue operations and working with international partners, including the United States, France and other European countries, to tackle Nigeria’s security challenges and combat terrorism.
Tinubu also urged armed groups and criminal elements to surrender, warning that the government’s offer of reconciliation would not remain available indefinitely.
“No mercy will be shown to those who trade in the blood of Nigerians,” the President said, stressing that the government remains committed to restoring peace and protecting citizens across the country.
He further called on Nigerians to remain united and avoid ethnic or political divisions, insisting that insecurity is a national challenge that requires a collective response.
Tinubu said Nigeria will overcome terrorism and remain focused on building a safer and more prosperous future.
