Court hears disturbing evidence against d4vd
Fresh court testimony has revealed new details in the d4vd murder case. Prosecutors claim the singer, whose real name is David Burke, killed 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez to stop her from exposing their relationship.
The 21-year-old has pleaded not guilty to murder, child sexual abuse, and mutilating human remains. During the preliminary hearing, investigators presented blood evidence, phone records, and text messages. They also showed body camera footage and graphic crime scene photos. A judge will now decide if the case should proceed to trial.
Text messages and photos become major evidence
One of the biggest moments in court came from messages recovered from d4vd’s phone and iCloud account. Prosecutors said the chats showed a sexual relationship that allegedly started when Celeste was only 13.
Investigators also told the court that the messages discussed pregnancy, an abortion, and plans to live together. In one emotional message, Celeste reportedly wrote,
“I killed my first kid for you.”
Detectives also described several explicit photos they claimed showed both d4vd and the teenager. The images were not shown publicly because they were labelled child sexual abuse material.
DNA, chainsaws and mysterious trips raise more questions
Prosecutors also presented DNA evidence. They claimed blood found inside d4vd’s Tesla, garage, rowing machine, and charging plug matched Celeste’s DNA. Detectives further alleged that d4vd bought chainsaws, a shovel, an inflatable pool, and a burn box using different aliases before the girl’s body was discovered.
However, the defence challenged the investigation. Lawyers questioned why some items were never tested for fingerprints or DNA. They also argued that phone location records cannot prove d4vd personally made several trips to a remote area where Celeste’s passport ID was later found.
Money, motive and what happens next
Court testimony also focused on d4vd’s successful music career. Financial records showed he earned between $10 million and $11.5 million from 2023 to 2025. Prosecutors argued he stood to make as much as $19 million through his record deal if future projects were completed.
They believe protecting that career was part of the motive for the alleged crime. Earlier body camera footage also showed d4vd telling deputies he believed Celeste was 18 when they first met. He said,
“She told me she was 18, everyone is saying she’s 13.”
The hearing is still ongoing. If the judge finds enough evidence, the case will move to a full criminal trial. Until then, the allegations remain unproven, and d4vd is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.
