Niger pupils released after the mass abduction have brought relief to families in Papiri. A total of 100 children regained freedom after their capture from ST Mary’s Catholic School in Niger State. The community welcomed their return with joy and emotional reunions.
Officials have not explained how the release happened. The development followed days of tension in the area, with parents demanding urgent action from security agencies. Families expected answers, but the priority remained the safety of the children.
More Pupils Still Missing
Reports indicate that around fifty pupils escaped shortly after the attack. However, many children are still missing as search efforts continue. Community leaders are urging authorities to speed up operations and provide regular updates.
Residents also called for stronger protection for schools in the region. Kidnappings of students have disrupted education and created fear among parents. Local groups insist the government must take decisive actions to prevent further attacks.
