Fubara Must Go Through Wike to Win Anything in Rivers — Giadom

The National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), South South, Victor Giadom, has told Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara that he must pass through Nyesom Wike to win any political contest in the state. Giadom made the remark on Tuesday during Wike’s “thank you” visit to Gokana Local Government Area.

He described Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, as a dependable political leader whose influence remains unmatched in Rivers politics.

Gokana Declares Loyalty to Wike

According to Giadom, no political force can challenge Wike’s dominance in Gokana. He said the people of the area have aligned firmly with Wike and President Bola Tinubu.

“Gokana is a no-go area for anybody,” Giadom said. “For Governor Fubara to win anything here, he must pass through Wike.”

Wike Repeats 2027 Warning

Earlier, during a visit to Khana Local Government Area, Wike warned that Rivers residents would not repeat their “mistake” in 2027. He stressed that Fubara’s second-term ambition was not guaranteed, despite his defection to the ruling APC.

“We will not make a mistake again,” Wike said, hinting at future political realignments in the state.

Ogoni Leaders Pledge Support

Former senator representing Rivers South-East, Magnus Abe, also declared the Ogoni people’s support for Wike and President Tinubu. He said loyalty to Wike brings political rewards and unity.

Similarly, Gokana Local Government Chairman, Confidence Deko, pledged total support for the minister. He said the people would reciprocate Wike’s contributions at the appropriate time.

Wike Thanks Supporters

In his remarks, Wike said the visit was to thank the people of Gokana for their long-standing support. He praised their unity and assured them of continued collaboration under Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda
