Carter Efe has declared his strong loyalty to Davido while explaining his relationship with Nigeria’s biggest music stars. The skit maker spoke about his support for Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido and Olamide. He made the comments during an interview with TVC News.
Carter Efe said he does not stay loyal to one artiste after his experience with Wizkid.
“I am not in any place because the last time I said let me be in one place, the person poured spit on my face and that is Wizkid,” he said.
His comment has since sparked fresh reactions from fans online.
The content creator also addressed the “Machala” nickname, which many fans associate with Wizkid. Carter Efe became linked to the name after his song and public support for the singer. However, he now claims the title belongs to him.
“How? If you call Machala on the street now, I am the Machala and not Wizkid. I am telling you fact,” he declared.
Meanwhile, Carter Efe made it clear that his bond with Davido remains strong. He said he would never betray the singer because of the support he has received from him.
“I will never in my life betray Davido. Davido is my daddy, Davido is my helper,” he said.
Carter added that Davido still answers his calls.
“I still called him yesterday and he picked my call. Who am I? All the way from Delta State? It’s just grace.”
His remarks have divided social media users. Some accused him of focusing too much on Wizkid, while others praised his relationship with Davido.
