Residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Friday staged a unity and peace walk in support of President Bola Tinubu.
The participants marched through parts of Lugbe and Kuje Area Councils. They said the event promoted peace, unity and citizen participation ahead of the 2027 general election.
The Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN) movement organised the rally.
Group Seeks Support for Tinubu
Speaking at the event, RTIFN Director-General Ahmed Bala thanked residents for joining the walk.
He said the rally aimed to strengthen national unity and encourage Nigerians to support the Tinubu administration.
“Leadership requires courage, and President Tinubu has shown that courage. We are here to appeal for your continued patience.”
Bala urged Nigerians to remain hopeful despite current economic challenges.
He said the administration’s reforms would produce lasting benefits.
Organisers Empower Women and Youth
The organisers also empowered women and young entrepreneurs during the programme.
They distributed cash grants and startup kits to selected beneficiaries.
According to the organisers, the initiative will help small business owners grow their businesses and become financially independent.
Community Leaders Join the Walk
Government officials, traditional rulers and youth groups attended the event.
The Chief of Staff to the Minister of Youth Development, Muhammed Abdullah, joined other dignitaries at the rally.
The organisers said the turnout reflected growing public support for the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Entertainment Adds Colour to Event
The rally featured music and cultural performances.
Popular entertainers, including Basketmouth, Zule Zoo, Enenche Enenche, Ekwe, Joel and Samegeezy, performed during the programme.
The performances entertained participants and encouraged peaceful coexistence.
RTIFN Reaffirms Commitment
The movement said it would continue promoting peace and civic participation across the country.
It also pledged to support programmes that encourage national unity and democratic engagement ahead of the 2027 elections.
