Content creator and streamer Carter Efe has challenged Nigerian music star Wizkid to a boxing match. Carter said he would fight the singer without collecting any money. Speaking on Yanga 89.9 FM, Carter joked that organisers could pay Wizkid $1 million instead.
“They should not even give me any money. They can even pay Wizkid $1 million that he should come fight with me,” Carter said.
He added that he only needed a traditional outfit for the fight.
Carter also reacted to the idea of fighting a “national treasure.” He questioned why Wizkid should have that title alone.
“Me, am I not a national treasure too?” he asked.
The streamer then claimed his value could surpass Wizkid’s if he stayed longer in the entertainment industry. His comments have now added more fuel to their already public fallout.
Meanwhile, Carter addressed claims that he used Wizkid’s name to become famous. According to him, both stars benefited from their collaboration.
“Did he also not blow? We shared glory,” he said.
Carter recalled that their song reached number one. However, he claimed Wizkid did not acknowledge his contribution.
“As he didn’t acknowledge me, that’s why I don’t acknowledge him anymore,” he added.
Carter remains confident about his chances in the ring. He believes he can defeat Wizkid if the proposed fight happens. The streamer also mentioned Wizkid’s alleged marijuana use while explaining his confidence.
“Let them just bring him to the ring. Let us fight and I know I will win because he smokes weed,” he said.
For now, the boxing challenge remains talk, but fans will likely watch closely if Wizkid.
