Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has demanded DNA tests for his two children with actress Akinyanju Omobolarinde, also known as Ashabi Simple.
Portable made the demand during their latest public dispute over child support. In an Instagram Story shared on Friday, he said he needed proof of paternity before taking responsibility for the children.
“Now I need DNA test asap so i can take care of those kids because I do not trust their mother. I cannot take care of another man child,” he wrote.
He also repeated the demand in a voice note shared online.
The singer questioned the children’s paternity and asked Ashabi to take them to a hospital for DNA tests. Portable also spoke about Ashabi’s movements during their relationship. He claimed she sometimes stayed away for days because of film shoots. According to him, the children looking like him does not prove he fathered them.
“Forget that the babies look like me, we were living together so the babies can look like me due to that,” he said.
Meanwhile, Ashabi has accused Portable of failing to support their children properly. In screenshots shared on Instagram, she claimed Portable gave ₦200,000 for their upkeep between January and September. She also said she paid three terms of school fees and handled their feeding and clothing.
Ashabi said she wanted Portable to take responsibility for the children. She also threatened to involve the police over their welfare. Portable reportedly told her,
“Give me those kids or take care of them yourself.”
He later called her “my enemy for life.” The dispute has continued online, with both parties sharing allegations about their relationship and children.
