Stan Nze Says His Marriage Content Follows Real Life, Not Trends

Actor Stan Nze and Wife Share Genuine Experiences, Inspiring Audiences

Popular actor Stan Nze reveals the authentic intention behind the content he creates with his wife. Their storytelling is not driven by trends or public pressure. Instead, it stems from a desire to document their genuine experiences. Nze emphasized that their approach was never about influencing others but about sharing their true marital journey.

“When we got married, we were just looking to share our stories genuinely. We were not trying to encourage anybody; we just wanted to tell our authentic marriage stories. It turned out that people loved it and connected with it,” Nze told Sunday Scoop.

The overwhelmingly positive audience response has encouraged the couple to maintain their consistent approach. “It says one thing: we have to keep doing what we are doing. We have to keep it up, keep the spirit high, and not drop the ball, not let people down, because our stories are inspiring people,” he added.

Nze’s Filmmaking Passion: Crafting Roles for Veteran Talent

Beyond his personal content, Nze also discussed his passion for filmmaking. He disclosed that his latest project, When Moremi Falls, was specifically written with veteran actress Bimbo Akintola in mind. This demonstrates his commitment to tailoring roles for specific talents.

“I have always wanted to work with Bimbo Akintola. We wrote it for her; basically, there was no hard and fast rule saying, ‘this is the kind of story we want to tell.’ I looked at her, searched for something that would fit her, and this idea came to me. Voilà, it’s a hit,” Nze explained.

The Power of Relatability in Nigerian Storytelling

Nze underscored the critical importance of authenticity and relatability in Nigerian storytelling. He noted that audiences respond more favorably to emotional truth than to formulaic plots. This insight highlights a shift in audience preferences towards more genuine narratives.

“Nigerians are ready for any kind of story. It just needs to be believable. It has to connect; people have to see themselves in it. There are people who are 50, 52, who have never been married or have experienced heartbreak. Nigerians don’t even know what they want until you serve them,” he asserted.

Filmmakers Urged to Innovate and Challenge the Status Quo

Nze further urged filmmakers to push creative boundaries rather than relying on repetitive themes. He believes that innovation is key to captivating audiences and evolving the industry. This call to action encourages a departure from conventional narratives.

“If you feel like experimenting with people while telling your story, that’s amazing. If you want to play it safe and tell what everyone else has told, the problem with that is you are not doing anything new. People say love sells, and many films are built around love. But who is challenging the status quo and doing something different? Not a lot of people are doing that,” he concluded.
