Trump says He faces no time pressure to reach Iran deal

Donald Trump says the United States is not rushing to strike a deal with Iran.

Donald Trump said on Thursday that he is under no time pressure to secure an agreement with Iran.

Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump dismissed claims that he is racing to reach a settlement.

“Don’t rush me,” he said, adding that the real pressure is on Iran, not the United States.

Trump argued that Iran’s oil sector is facing serious strain because exports are being restricted and storage capacity is limited. He warned that if Iranian oil cannot move to market, the country’s energy infrastructure could face severe disruption.

The comments come amid rising tensions between Washington and Tehran over sanctions, shipping routes, and stalled diplomatic talks.

Trump also addressed concerns over fuel costs in the United States. When asked how long Americans should expect higher gas prices, he replied: “For a little while.”

Energy markets have been watching developments closely, especially with instability around the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global crude exports.

Any prolonged standoff involving Iran could continue to affect oil supply, shipping confidence, and consumer fuel prices worldwide.

The latest remarks suggest Washington is willing to maintain pressure while waiting for Tehran to make the next move.
