A UBA graduate who went viral after addressing Tony Elumelu by his first name has received a major support offer. The offer includes ₦500,000, a VIP trip and an ambassadorial deal. The announcement came from Ossai Ovie Success, a Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor. He shared the offer on Facebook amid the backlash surrounding the viral incident.
According to Ossai, the young woman will receive ₦500,000 cash support and a VIP trip to Asaba. The trip is for the fourth Delta Social Media Summit on August 27, 2026. Her package includes flight tickets, five-star hotel accommodation and VIP access to the event. She will also tour selected developmental projects across Delta State.
Beyond the financial support, Ossai offered her a brand ambassador role for the Delta Social Media Summit. He also wants her to use the experience as a chance to tell her story.
“I know the internet can be harsh. Depression is real and words cut deep,” he said.
Ossai admitted that she made a mistake but urged people to stop attacking her.
Meanwhile, Ossai thanked Tony Elumelu for correcting the graduate during their viral encounter.
“She made a mistake but we don’t need to torment her daily, she needs our support,” he said.
He also encouraged anyone who knows the graduate to ask her to contact him.
“Let’s turn this pain into purpose,” Ossai added.
The gesture has now shifted the conversation from online criticism to support and a possible fresh opportunity for the young woman.
