Pep Guardiola expected to leave Manchester City after 10 years

Manchester City are reportedly preparing for life after Pep Guardiola despite no official confirmation from the club.

Pep Guardiola is expected to leave Manchester City after the club’s final Premier League game of the season, according to reports.

Sources say preparations are already underway for Guardiola’s departure, even though Manchester City insiders insist the Spaniard remains under contract until 2027. Guardiola has repeatedly stated in recent days that he is happy at the club.

The 55-year-old has overseen one of the most successful periods in English football history since arriving in 2016. During his time at City, Guardiola won 20 trophies, including six Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League in 2023.

Former City assistant Enzo Maresca is reportedly the leading candidate to replace Guardiola. Maresca previously worked under Guardiola during City’s Champions League-winning campaign and has been praised by the Spaniard as one of the best coaches in football.

Guardiola’s potential exit would mark the end of a transformative era at Manchester City and in the Premier League.
