She said two corps members will repeat their service year.
She also confirmed that two others received four-month service extensions over issues linked to their national assignment.
Nwachuku disclosed this during the passing-out ceremony for the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream II corps members.
The event took place at the Gombe Local Government Secretariat on Thursday
901 corps members complete national service
Nwachuku said a total of 901 corps members successfully completed their service year in Gombe State.
According to her, the figure includes 503 male corps members and 398 females.
She commended the outgoing corps members for fulfilling their responsibilities.
She also praised their contributions to community development projects during the service year.
Stray cow causes brief disruption at ceremony
The ceremony recorded a brief moment of tension when a stray cow entered the venue.
The animal wandered close to corps members seated under a tree.
Some attendees quickly moved to avoid possible injury.
However, officials confirmed that no one sustained injuries during the incident.
The event later continued without further disruption.
Coordinator praises discipline, resilience
Nwachuku applauded the outgoing corps members for their dedication and commitment.
She said they had completed a significant national assignment with discipline and courage.
According to her, the service year exposed them to challenges, growth, and valuable learning experiences.
She urged them to remain responsible and productive after leaving the scheme.
Outgoing corps members urged to stay safe, self-reliant
The coordinator advised the corps members to use skills acquired under the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme.
She said those skills can help them become self-reliant.
She also warned them against night travel and actions that could damage the image of the NYSC.
At the end of the ceremony, Nwachuku officially declared the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream II service year closed.
