Spain Beat France to Reach 2026 FIFA World Cup Final

Spain produced a composed display to defeat France and book a place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final.

Spain have qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup final after defeating France 2-0 in their semi-final clash at Dallas Stadium.

Luis de la Fuente’s side controlled the game from start to finish. They limited France’s attacking threats and created the better chances throughout the match.

Mikel Oyarzabal gave Spain the lead in the first half from the penalty spot. The spot-kick was awarded after France defender Lucas Digne fouled Lamine Yamal while attempting to clear the ball.

Spain doubled their advantage early in the second half. Pedro Porro finished a well-worked move after combining neatly with Dani Olmo.

France struggled to respond despite their talented attack. Spain’s organised defence remained solid and protected their lead with confidence. The victory also maintained Spain’s impressive defensive record, having conceded only once during the tournament.

The result ends France’s hopes of reaching a third consecutive World Cup final. It also marks the final tournament for head coach Didier Deschamps, who will step down after 14 years in charge.

Spain will now face either England or Argentina in Sunday’s World Cup final in New Jersey as they chase their second world title.
