HiPrep Launches AI Learning Platform to Support Nigerian Pupils

HiPrep Introduces AI-Based Learning Support

Educational technology firm HiPrep has launched an Artificial Intelligence-powered learning platform to help Nigerian parents identify and address learning gaps among schoolchildren.

The company announced the initiative in a statement released on Friday. It said the platform targets pupils struggling with academic performance, especially in overcrowded classrooms.

According to the firm, many teachers handle large classes and often lack enough time to provide individual attention to every child.

Founder Highlights Learning Challenges

Founder of HiPrep, Adanma, said many pupils move through school without mastering core subjects because learning gaps remain unnoticed.

She explained that Mathematics remains one of the biggest challenges for many learners. Pupils who fail to understand basic concepts early often lose confidence over time.

Adanma said her personal academic experience inspired the creation of the platform. She revealed that regular one-on-one lessons from her father helped improve her performance significantly.

She also noted that her experience as a Mathematics teacher exposed similar struggles among pupils in conventional classrooms.

Platform Offers Personalised Learning

The company said it first began with personalised online tutoring before developing Lumi, an AI-powered study companion for children between six and 17 years old.

According to Adanma, the platform provides revision support, practice questions and guided study sessions tailored to each child’s pace and academic needs.

She added that the system starts with an assessment process to identify strengths and weaknesses before creating a customised learning path for each pupil.

The platform also combines technology with human tutors to provide continued support outside classroom hours.

“Many children are not failing because they are not intelligent. In many cases, they simply need more attention and support than overcrowded classrooms can provide,” she said.

Experts Call for Better Learning Support

Education experts have continued to stress the need for improved teacher-to-student ratios and stronger academic support systems across schools in Nigeria.

They believe personalised learning solutions and digital education tools can help improve academic outcomes for pupils nationwide.
