Brighton agree £21.5m deal for Nigerian winger Zadok Yohanna

Premier League side Brighton have moved to secure one of Nigeria’s most promising young talents.

Brighton & Hove Albion have agreed a £21.5 million deal to sign Nigerian winger Zadok Yohanna from AIK Stockholm.

The 18-year-old is expected to sign a five-year contract when the summer transfer window officially opens on June 15. Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler described Yohanna as an exciting attacking player capable of making an impact in the final third.

Yohanna joined AIK Stockholm from the Ikon Allah Football Academy in Nigeria and quickly established himself in Sweden. Since making his debut in August 2025, he has scored five goals and provided four assists in 18 appearances for the club.

The move continues Brighton’s strategy of investing in highly rated young players with strong long-term potential.

Zadok Yohanna will now look to make the step up to the Premier League and continue his rapid rise in European football.
